Built-up beams are custom structural steel elements formed by cutting steel plates (flat bars) to desired dimensions and joining them through welding in projects with large spans or subjected to heavy loads where standard hot-rolled profiles (such as NPI, IPE, HEA, etc.) are insufficient in size.
